That’s what the folks at Entérese Charlotte called this headline, on the front of today’s Daily Sun of San Juan, Puerto Rico:
Now, that’s transparency!
The story is about the grandmother of an eight-year-old boy who was found murdered six months ago. The boy’s mother is reportedly a suspect in the case.
The grandmother was questioned by investigators and prosecutors Tuesday but apparently didn’t tell them much they already didn’t know. And she said hardly anything at all to the press. Hence, the headline. Apparently.
Thanks to the folks at Entérese Charlotte for calling this to my attention tonight via Twitter.

The one I loved was the top story on the Huffington Post a few days ago, reporting that the NYT had said they would cease publication “sometime in the future.”
That is certainly not news – or, if it is, other headlines present themselves:
“Top Scientists: Sun Will Go Nova in Future.”
“Government Engineers Report All Bridges Will Eventually Fail.”
“We Will All Grow Old and Die.”
Journalism is becoming more like The Onion every day.
Gracias for the Enterese mention, Charles. We, er, I have to give a hat tip to a friend in Puerto Rico who brought it to our, er, my attention on Facebook.
