Tea Party candidates — and their Political Action Committee fundraising folks — need copy editors to keep them from making a mistake like this one:
Misspelling their candidate’s name.
Find the site here (with the typo still posted, as of 11 a.m. Wednesday). Beware, though, of the auto-playing video and audio.
Thanks to Andy Bechtel for tweeting this today.
You know who else needs copy editors? City and County Boards of Elections. And Google News’ ‘bots. And billboard companies. And rubber stamp designers. And restaurants. And the New York Jets. And the Washington Post and the New York Times. And the St. Louis Cardinals. And drive-in movie theater managers. And Home Depot and manufacturers of “hoodies.” And CNN. And college athletic department ticket offices. And road paving contractors. And breakfast joints. And cake decorators. And Time magazine. And sign painters. And T-shirt designers. And baseball jersey manufacturers.

“Misspelling her own name. On her own web site.”
Really? Check the facts mister reporter.
The website https://www.electchristineodonnell.org is not hers.
At the bottom of the page it is stated very clear that the website is “Paid for by Restore America’s Voice PAC, 71 McMurray Road, Suite 104 Pittsburgh, PA 15241, not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.”
Check the facts…
Your point is a good one, Chris. And I admit, I didn’t look at the fine print at the bottom of that web page. Mostly becasue of the autoplaying audio.
I’ve adjusted the headline and language of this post accordingly.
