The Disney Channel needs a copy editor to keep it from making an oversight like this on its “bumpers” — those little pre-recorded bits it uses when it goes to and comes back from commercial breaks.
Do you see it?
My daughter caught this a while back. So I asked her to take a cell phone photo.
Yep. Some genius decided to save a few bucks by reusing last year’s “bumpers.” Completely forgetting they were stamped with the year, right on the side of the lifeguard shelter.
Kudos to my daughter, Elizabeth Apple, for being sharp enough to pick up on this. Clearly, she spends too much time reading her dad’s blog.
Or watching TV. One or the other.
And Disney Channel, if you’re out there: Elizabeth just graduated from high school and is looking for a job. Call me and I can help you set up an interview with her.
