Why Carmageddon t-shirt makers needed a copy editor

Those quick-buck artists who spent the weekend selling “Carmageddon” t-shirts in L.A. this weekend needed a copy editor to help them to correctly spell the one freakin’ word on their product.

Here’s a closer look.

Wrong: Carmaggedon. Right: Carmageddon. It’s like armageddon, right?

Well, folks down at the screen-printing plant might be fooled. But Hollywood’s elite? They won’t be fooled again.

Yeeaaaaaahhhh!

Those photos are both by Robert Gauthier of the Los Angeles Times and can be seen in the enormous — and enormously entertaining — “Carmageddon” photo gallery posted by the Times this weekend. Enjoy that gallery here.

Thanks to Erik Spiekermann for tweeting about this tonight.
