You have two elements for the front page of your tab-sized newspaper.
One is a headline following a horrible crime. The other is a cute piece of wild art.
The solution: Move the wild art inside and do something else out front, right? Because no matter how you write your head, placing horrible next to cute is never a good idea.
Unfortunately, the folks at the Canarsie Courier didn’t get the memo on this. Not only that, but the overline to their wild art on Thursday, July 28, accidentally played off of their main headline.
Not good. Not good at all.
I’m sure the Canarsie Courier has copy editors. But perhaps they need more. Or something.
That was posted this week to the Tosh blog at the Comedy Central web site. Find it here.
Thanks to Billy Kulpa for pointing it out to me.
