Why the West Palm Beach police department needs a copy editor

The police department of West Palm Beach, Fla. — or, at least, the folks who make their signs — needs a copy editor who knows how to spell the word “official.”

That picture was posted Friday morning by the Palm Beach Post. The sign is located in front of the department on Rosemary Ave in West Palm, the Post reports:

YouReporter Terri took a photo to document the error.

She claims she has repeatedly called the city and police department about the mistake. It so far hasn’t been fixed and she thinks that is an embarrassment.

Thanks to Khari Williams of CQ Roll Call for the tip.
