Here are how New York’s two largest tabloids covered the Lance Armstrong story today.
While the Post — right; average daily circulation 555,327 — created just about what you’d expect to see on page one today, I was especially struck today by the wonderful presentation afront the Daily News. Here’s a closer look:
Battered and bloody from the fight and stripped of his medals. No matter what you think about Armstrong, that’s a powerful cover.
The file picture is from the Associated Press.
Average daily circulation for the Daily News is 579,636.
The Post cover is from PressDisplay. The Daily News front is from the Newseum. Of course.
