Michael tells us:
We devoted above the fold to the probability that our journalism school will lose its independence in a proposed merger of departments. It includes a fantastically well-reported story by managing editor Matthew Glowicki and a letter I wrote to our readers explaining how the changes could affect the paper and rededicating our resources to investigating this and a series of other closures and mergers at IU.
Oh yeah, and today is the IDS‘s 146th birthday. Bad timing on the provost’s part.
